Shea Butter is the fat obtained from the fruit of the Shea Tree, Butyrospernum parkii, Sapotaceae.

Supplied in both refined and unrefined. The unrefined is cleaned and filtered.

Directions for use: Can be used directly on the skin, especially dry skin. Melts quickly on skin contact. Suitable for inclusion in skin and body care products such as creams, soaps and lip balms. Avoid contact with clothing and fabrics. Discontinue use in the unlikely event that any reaction / allergy is evident. For external use only.

Shea butter is composed of five principal fatty acids: palmitic & oleic (to 90% of fatty acids), as well as stearic, linoleic, and arachidic acids. It also contains triterpene esters, tocopherols (such as vitamin A) and unsaponifiables such as alpha- and beta- amyrin.
