Terms & Conditions - Retail and Wholesale Orders

Pricing


We offer our goods at both retail or wholesale prices. By default the prices displayed are retail prices. If you are a wholesale account holder you will need to login or register a wholesale account in order to view wholesale prices. All customers e.g home user, therapist, retailer etc are welcome to open a wholesale account but minimum order rules apply.

There is no minimum order if placing an order in retail mode. Minimum order rules apply for wholesale orders/account holders. See the minimum order section below.

All prices quoted are in £'s sterling and are based on the current rate of VAT set by UK HM Customs. We reserve the right to change the price of any product without prior notice for any reason including a change in taxation levels or as a result of price fluctuations due to supply or any other issues. We reserve the right to supply products from a different origin should supply become difficult from any particular source.

Ordering and Payment

We accept several different payment methods.

We are fully PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)

1) Credit or Debit Card - Pay online via our secure online card payment processor (Sagepay). Full details of security measures in place can be read in the privacy policy section below.
2) PayPal - Use your PayPal account details to quickly complete your purchase.
3) BACS (transfer payment via your online bank account) - Full details of how to pay by this method are provided on screen and by confirmation email after ordering. Choose Pay by Bacs at the checkout.
4) Cheque - We no longer accept cheques

We do not accept cash payments.

We accept most debit and credit cards including Visa Debit, Visa Credit, Visa Electron, MasterCard Debit, Mastercard Credit, Solo and Maestro using a secure online payment system provided by SagePay. We also accept payments by PayPal. Orders can be placed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you have signed up with your card provider for MasterCard "Secure Code" or Visa "Verified by Visa" you may be asked to answer additional security questions on a separate screen. You may see one of these logos during this process.

Please Note: Acceptance of payment does not constitute acceptance of an order. Essential Oils Direct (EOD) reserve the right to reject an order for whatever reason, even if payment has been processed, in which case payment will be refunded in full. Acceptance of an order is at the sole discretion of EOD. An example of this might be an order placed for an out of stock item which it turns out has changed significantly in price.

Minimum Order Level


Online Orders:
Retail Orders: No minimum order rules apply.
Wholesale Orders: £40 + Vat (£48 inc Vat)*

Telephone Orders:
We no longer accept telephone orders

*This amount refers to goods only and before any delivery charges are added e.g the goods total excluding vat in your basket has to be £38 ex vat (or £48 inc vat) before you can proceed to the checkout if ordering at wholesale prices.

Delivery Charges

Delivery charges are automatically calculated at the checkout and vary depending on your account type, postcode and the total value of goods in your basket. Visit our delivery charges page to view current rates. Please note, if you are wholesale customer you need to login to see wholesale order delivery charges as these are different compared to retail orders.

Delivery Information


All deliveries are carried out by DHL couriers. We do not use Royal Mail

We do not currently deliver to PO Boxes or BFPO addresses. We only deliver to England, Wales and Scotland addresses.

We aim to despatch all orders promptly and within 1-4 working days of payment being received. Please refer to our home page for current delivery estimates. All orders are despatched by trackable courier. We do not make delivery date promises but all orders (once despatched within 1-4 days ) are sent by overnight courier to give them the best chance of arriving the next day. This is not guaranteed and does not include weekends.Time sensitive orders are placed at your own risk and delivery charges (if applicable) are non-refundable in the event of a late delivery.

It is really important to choose a delivery address which will be occupied during the above times or if not provide alternative options at the checkout.

Disclaimer: We do not make delivery date promises but all orders are sent by overnight courier as standard, to give them the best chance of arriving the next day. This is not guaranteed and does not include weekends. Time sensitive orders are placed at your own risk and delivery charges (if applicable) are non-refundable in the event of a late delivery. We send the goods on an express delivery service which means delivery is usually the next working day (Monday to Friday only). This may change during holiday periods such as Bank Holidays, Easter, Christmas and New Year. The delivery charge is the standard fee payable and is not a payment solely to guarantee the speed of the service. As couriers from time to time may experience problems beyond their/our control, we cannot 100% guarantee that the consignment will be delivered next day or that the parcel will be delivered within the predicted hour time slot communicated by UK Mail text. We accept no liability for any loss incurred as a result of a late delivery or failed delivery promise and no refunds will be given of the delivery charges if a parcel arrives later than estimated. If delivery of the goods is time critical we recommend that you order several days in advance of the required delivery date (when possible), this to ensure no inconvenience is suffered in the unlikely event of a delivery being delayed due to circumstances beyond our control.

Our collection point is permanently closed. We are sorry for any inconvenience this might cause.

Out of Stock Items


In the event that an item is out of stock after we have received your order. We will contact you to inform you. All in stock items will be delivered as usual. You then have the option of placing the out of stock item on backorder to be delivered at a later date. Alternatively we can refund you for the out of stock item. If the out of stock item has risen in price when we try to replenish stocks, we reserve the right to cancel the order for this item.

If collecting: All in stock items can be collected as usual. You then have the option of placing the out of stock item on backorder to collect at a later date or a refund.

Returns Policy / Cancellations

Returning correctly supplied returned items

Essential Oils Direct Ltd offer a 30 day returns policy on all items. Items must be returned in their original condition and must be unopened or unused. In the case of essential oils, fragrance oils and any other natural product from our range we realise that you might want to open the container to evaluate the product. However for hygiene/health & safety reasons we cannot refund any item which has been opened or used.

In the case of unopened, unused item/s these can be returned within the 30 day period for a full refund of the cost of the returned item/s. The cost of the original delivery is not refundable.

If the item/s are being returned due to no fault of ours (the seller) then the cost of returning these items must be paid by you (the buyer). If a complete order is returned we reserve the right to deduct the cost of the original delivery from the refunded amount.

RETURNS & reporting damaged or incorrectly supplied goods.

In the unlikely event any of your goods are damaged, faulty, missing from your order or the wrong item has been supplied. Please notify us within 2 working days after delivery or collection. All goods must be checked on arrival and also in the case of oils or any raw material rechecked before being used in any manufacturing process. If our oils or any raw material material is being used in a cosmetic formula, candles or any other product where the single oil or raw material is mixed with other products, it is essential that a small sample lot is produced prior to full manufacturing run to ensure suitability of each oil or raw material so any issues can be identified in advance of any full manufacturing run. EOD cannot be held responsible for the cost of the whole formula if a single raw material bought from EOD is added to a formula containing other products and it is later identified there is an issue with the oil or raw material we supplied or it was incorrectly supplied. Any issues need to be identified before the oil or raw material is mixed with other products and as sated above a sample lot should be produced first to ensure suitability.

If you wish to report damaged or faulty goods please contact our online helpdesk clearly detailing the problem, date of order and invoice number. We will then advise on the the best procedure which may vary case by case. If it is determined that a product is faulty, incorrectly supplied or missing from an order and this is the fault of the seller (EOD) , then a full refund will be granted or a replacement item sent at full cost to the seller (EOD).

Bespoke products or special orders.

In the case of bespoke items/bulk essential oils and goods which have been manufactured or ordered in especially for a client. These goods are sold on a non-returnable basis unless a special agreement is in place prior to ordering.

Cancellations:

In compliance with ‘Distance Selling Regulations 2000’ you have the right to cancel your order within seven working days after the day goods are received. If you wish to cancel your order please contact us clearly detailing your requirements and proving the order/invoice number. This does not apply to bespoke orders if raw materials have been sourced or manufacturing has already commenced.

Making a Complaint


Complaints: In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with any of our products or services, please contact us immediately and we will endeavour to deal with your problem in a prompt, fair and confidential manner. 

Disputes: UK Law will apply in all cases.

Product Safety


Please read carefully our safety information section before using any of our products. In addition please refer to MSDS information if available and also product labelling for more information. If you are still unsure please contact our online helpdesk for more information. 
 
If you are pregnant, suffer from epilepsy, high/low blood pressure or any other specific condition please seek medical advise before using any of our products.

Privacy Policy


We are fully PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliant.

Any information collected via our website is controlled by: Essential Oils Direct Ltd, Registered Office: 13 Parkside Industrial Estate, Edge Lane Street, Royton, Oldham OL2 6DS.
The information is collected and stored to allow a speedier ordering and administrative process. We collect your Name, Address, Postcode, Email address & Status (e.g home user or student) + other optional fields. We also collect a contact telephone number so that we may contact you urgently in the event of any queries relating to an order.

None of the information we collect is passed on to any third parties other than those responsible for delivery of your order. Essential Oils Direct will only use the information provided for its own internal marketing purposes if you have expressly given us permission to use the information in this way. This data will not be shared with any third parties.

All credit card payments are handled and processed by Sagepay.com (not Essential Oils Direct).

In order to respect your privacy, we manage personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act’s ‘Data Protection Principles’, namely:

 • Fairly and lawfully processed, processed for limited purposes.

 • Not kept for longer than necessary, processed in accordance with the data subject’s rights.
 • Secure, not transferred to countries without adequate protection.
